[UPCOMING] Spaceshooter update v1.2
Good news! The upcoming update of our game Spaceshooter is very close to the testing phase. The update will be released in february, or march, 2026. This update will contain the more and more stable multiplayer gamemode, along with the server files and it's full documentation. These will be downloadable later after the update had been released. This new gamemode will require a SkyJade Account. This new account system is essential for protecting users' data and progression on game serevers, and it also lets users to collect coins based on playtime and performance on the servers.
Another important feature worth mentioning, is the rocket system, and a countermeasure system. The tutorial will be expanded to learn the new game mechanics. Oh yes, another thing... The game will use 2 new soundtracks I wrote, these will be listenable from the game, and from the website. We are trying very hard to keep the release date realistic for the update.
Spaceshooter 3D?
Yes! We will make a 3 dimensional version of spaceshooter in the future, which will be based on simple mechanics and graphics, yet keeping the exciting gameplay. The integration of a procedural world generation system is also planned, as well for the original spaceshooter. But, before the development of the 3D version, our team will focus on the main Spaceshooter game, mainly debugging the beta multiplayer version.
About the latest update
The SkyJade team's first actual game update is finally came to it's release, after one long year. Our game Spaceshooter just got a massive amount of new features and mechanics, with a completely reworked code, tutorial level, asteroids, ship upgrade options, and so much more. The release
date was on 2025 June 13th, closing the 2024/2025 school year in a ceremonial way. The game is coming together as I have it planned in my head, however there are still a lot of features planned for the future.
